A time for distraction
Allowing distraction is key. I know that sounds counter-intuitive, but the reality is that you will be distracted. If you can compartmentalize distraction—allowing yourself the stuff you’d rather be doing as a reward, after you get the important stuff done, you’ll avoid the trap of just feeling bad about not getting anything done.
